Use Simplist with Claude, ChatGPT and other AI assistants

Simplist is a remote MCP server, so an AI assistant can keep structured records for you: it can design models, file and update documents, search what you have saved, and manage your media library. You connect it once with a URL and approve it in your browser. No API key or install is needed.

The address

Every MCP client connects to the same URL:

https://simplist.vector.sh/mcp

It speaks MCP over streamable HTTP and signs you in with OAuth. The client registers itself, you approve it on a Simplist page, and you choose whether it can make changes or only read.

Claude (web and desktop)

  1. Open Settings → Connectors and choose Add custom connector.
  2. Paste the address above and save.
  3. Turn the connector on. A Simplist page opens. Sign in if you need to, pick a workspace and an access level, and approve.

Claude now lists Simplist’s tools, and uses them whenever you ask it to save or look something up.

Claude Code

claude mcp add --transport http simplist https://simplist.vector.sh/mcp

Then run /mcp inside Claude Code and choose simplist to approve the connection in your browser.

ChatGPT

In ChatGPT, turn on developer mode in the advanced settings for apps and connectors. Then create a new connector with the address above and choose OAuth as the authentication. Approve it on the Simplist page that opens.

Other MCP clients

Cursor, VS Code, Windsurf and any other client that supports remote MCP servers take the same address. If a client cannot run the OAuth flow, create an API key under Account → API keys and send it as Authorization: Bearer sk_…. See Integrations and automation for keys, read-only access and limits on what an agent may change.

Things to ask for

Once connected, plain requests work. A few to start with:

The assistant reads a briefing of your workspace when it connects: your models, what their fields are for, and any notes you left for agents. Describing your models well is the best way to get good results.

Staying in control

All of this is covered in Integrations and automation. Your data stays yours: export it at any time, as described in Import, export and backups.
